Beloved Mozart - Kamermuziek 2023
The concert marking the 267th anniversary of Mozart's birth features three works from his mature creative phase in Vienna.
In the first part of the program, the three-movement trio in E-flat K. 498 “Kegelstatt Trio,” written for an evening’s Hausmusik in August 1786, will be performed in a string quartet and clarinet version arranged by an anonymous composer in 1800.
Then, Xeneize String Quartet will perform The Adagio and Fugue in C minor, K. 546 for strings, originally written for two pianos in 1783 and re-arranged for strings on 26 June 1788 by Mozart himself.
The last piece in the program the ensemble will perform is the Clarinet Quintet K. 581 for string quartet + clarinet. This masterpiece was composed for the clarinetist Anton Stadler (1753-1812) and the first performance was in 1789 in Vienna.
