On Saturday 17 June, the VU-Kamerkoor will sing 'Andiamo ad Arezzo': a festival programme that we will present at the choral competition in Arezzo. For months we have been working on details in the music and through this concert in the Netherlands we would like to let you hear the result!

The programme of 'Andiamo ad Arezzo' is a musical journey filled with highlights from all of music's history. Get carried away by the deep emotion of Gyöngyösi's 'De Profundis' and the ethereal sounds of Mahler's 'Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen'. Classics from the Russian choral tradition (Rachmaninoff and Chesnokov) are interspersed with the rich harmonies of Frank Martin's Kyrie and the rousing rhythms of Brinsmead's 'Spiritus Sanctus' and Makaroff's 'Armottoman Osa'. This programme with pieces from all over the world, will be sung mostly by heart.

The concert lasts an hour and will be performed twice this evening: at 19.00 and at 21.00. When purchasing your ticket please note the mentioned starting time.
