הסרט מביא לראשונה למסך את סיפורה של המשוררת והפזמונאית הישראלית תרצה אתר, אחת הדמויות האהובות, המסקרנות והבלתי מפוענחות של התרבות העברית החדשה. אתר, בתם של אחד מגיבורי התרבות הישראלים של כל הזמנים, נתן אלתרמן, ושל השחקנית רחל מרכוס, חיברה מאות שירים ופזמונים שחדרו לליבו של הקהל הישראלי, כתבה ספרי ילדים פופולריים ותרגמה מחזות שהועלו על בימות התיאטרון. עם זאת, דמותה השברירית ויפת התואר, וחייה הקצרים ומלאי התהפוכות, נותרו אפופי מיסתורין גם שנים רבות לאחר מותה הטרגי בגיל 36. הסרט זוכה ציון לשבח פסטיבל הסרטים חיפה 2015.

Tirza Atar - a bird in the room - screening of the film and a musical meeting with Ari Davidovich and Natan Slor
The film brings to the screen for the first time the story of the Israeli poet and songwriter Tirza Atar, one of the beloved, intriguing and undeciphered characters of the new Hebrew culture. Atar, the daughter of one of Israel's cultural heroes of all time, Natan Alterman, and the actress Rachel Marcus, wrote hundreds of songs that touched the hearts of the Israeli audience, wrote popular children's books and translated plays that were staged on the theater stage. Yet, her fragile, beautiful figure, her short life full of difficulties and hurdles, remain shrouded in mystery many years after her tragic death at the age of 36.
The film received a commendation at the 2015 Haifa Film Festival.
The screening of the film will be followed by a conversation between the film's producer and director, Ari Davidovich, with the son of Tirza Atar, the musician Natan Slor, who will also perform some of his mother's well-known songs.

A heartfelt movie, filled with sacred moments. Davidovich succeeds in both the selection of the protagonists as well as in the framework in which he tells this drama. The great eagle and the little sparrow get along very well in this intimate display-window.
