Bösendorfer Series: Marietta Petkova

'Magnificent Petkova' and 'Pianist Petkova: ideal Rachmaninov,' exulted the national press from Telegraaf to NRC Handelsblad. Rachmaninov, then, should of course not be missing from her program in De Waalse Kerk! Marietta plays a selection from his 24 Preludes. The program opens with Chopin, of whom she will play some mazurkas and an etude. We begin the second part of this recital with Liszt's magnificent harmonic views over the imaginary Swiss Vallée d'Obermann. The evening will finish with the three separately composed movements from the suite Pour le Piano by Claude Debussy.
