Special Liberation Day concert in PLAY room Zaandam: Eric Boeren 4tet with Han Bennink among others, plus exhibition with art by the master and many others.

Eric Boeren 4tet plays, in addition to his own original compositions, music by Ornette Coleman. Not only the repertoire, but especially in the spirit of the classical Ornette Coleman quartet. In the Eric Boeren 4tet the improvisation space is filled in more collectively, where with Ornette improvisation was mainly done by soloists. The excitement that Ornette had remains uncomfortably strong.

In PLAY room they play 2x 45 minutes. Before and after the concert and during the intermission you can enjoy visual art by Han Bennink and many other artists. The concert is part of the exhibition 'Han Bennink - Ode to Freedom'.
