On May 19 we chop up food waste! With workshops, talks, a food market, DJs and delicious soup from rescued vegetables, we are building an awesome party!

LINE UP: Local2Local, Too Good To Go, Mesjokke, Kontjes&Sneetjes, Pluc Plaatsman, HUSK Ceramics, tech start-up Zero Foodwaste, DJ Baard en kale & more to come!

Annually, we throw away around 42 kilos of good food per person. That must change! And that’s why Slow Food Youth Networks (SFYNs) from many countries organise more than 100 World Disco Soup events. Last year we saved with those events more than 5000 kg of food from waste and turned that into 25,000 servings of delicious soup, chutneys or other goodies!

This event is made possible through contributions from the Initiatievenfonds Utrecht & Utrecht4GlobalGoals. This event contributes to sustainable food production and consumption which is one of the goals within the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
