Red Light Jazz Dinner 2025

The Red Light Jazz Dinner is the highlight of every edition of the Red Light Jazz Festival. This exclusive event, held on the final day of Amsterdams premier jazz festival, will take place in the familiar and atmospheric setting of Olof’s Chapel.

Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed like VIPs and guided to their reserved seats at a 6-person table. The executive chef of the NH Collection Barbizon Palace Hotel, home to Olof’s, has created a special three-course menu for the evening, complete with expertly paired wines.

During dinner, DJ Phil Horneman will set the mood with his signature Wicked Jazz Sounds, followed by a live concert by Matt Bianco after the dessert. This legendary British group, named after an imaginary Sixties super-spy in the Eighties, is adored around the world for hits like Half A Minute, Get Out Of Your Lazy Bed and Whose Side Are You On?. In 2016 Matt Bianco-founder, front-man, vocalist and songwriter Mark Reilly teamed up with the Dutch formation New Cool Collective. They recorded the album The Things You Love and performed together at Red Light Jazz and other festivals.

For the Matt Bianco-album Gravity, which was released in 2017, Reilly collaborated with the English Jazz saxophonist Dave O’Higgins and his band to revive and modernize Matt Biancoʼs Bossa- and Jazz-roots, while keeping the easy going swing of former successes, built around the singularly recognizable Dry-Martini-voice of Mark Reilly. The result was an energetic, yet relaxed collection of ten original songs, with enough gravity to please their most sophisticated admirers and plenty of new fans.

With so many great songs in their repertoire it promises to be an unforgettable party at Olof’s on Pentecost Sunday (Whit Sunday).
